Episode 21: Misfits! Level 1 75 min yoga class at the Center for Yoga

24 Dec

Merry Christmas!!!!! Honestly a crazy little class! Please, you will need 2 blocks for this class. If you do not have blocks you can use a thick bath towel or blanket, rolled up.

Yeah, I go a little crazy about one of my most favorite Christmas stories (actually the tv show story, rudolph the red nosed reindeer and the island of the misfit toys). I was kinda surprised at how many people had no idea what I was talking about. You guys have to watch the show!!!! Rent it, buy it. You gotta have it for the holiday season! Plus, according to my wacky self, it has a pretty fun soundtrack 😉

Dude! I used to have bizare dreams about those claymation cartoons…I think I watched them too much!. That and the one about the little match girl… Anyway…!

And I must be in a weird state b/c the intro music for this class is totally cracking me up, or it’s carry over from the bizarro class I had with you and the two other yogis the other day (which was awesome by the way!)

Anyhow, this is a good mellow session for Post-Christmas recovery. Thanks!

    Merry Christmas!

Hey, what is One legged D0wn dog into a straight legged lunge?
Is this the same as a “three legged” downward facing dog, then with the leg in the air, doing a three legged down dog into a top of pushup/plank?

This is my hubbies favorite xmas cartoon. I love the little character that is going to be the “dentist”, and the abdominal (ha ha) snowman..

How cute is the elf? I think his name is Hermey, totally fitting little name!

The one legged down dog is the ‘three legged’ downward facing dog, and then with the leg in the air, just step it forward into a plain ‘ol straight legged lunge (meaning that the back leg is straight, from leg bent 90 degrees)

we have got to get a universal yoga pose glossary, how about a wikipidia of some kind? that would be fantastic! with pics and all!
