Urdhva Dhanurasana at 31 Weeks Pregnant-Video

I do not suggest for EVERY PREGNANT WOMAN to go out and do this backbend ;) I do not recommend beginners to attempt to do this, and for most pregnant folk, my personal opinion is that if you wanna go for it, and have a pretty strong practice, you have a trusted, qualified instructor by your side, to facilitate the process :)

Having said that it is possible.

In my body, at this stage in my life, with this particular pregnancy, doing Urdhva Dhanurasana feels very good to me. I need these backbends! I sometimes do 3 or maybe only 1. I also make sure that I warm up and open up my body so that when I move into these type of stronger backbends, my body is ready :) Also, I don’t practice deep backbends daily, sometimes once a week or even once every 2 weeks.

As I grow with my baby, listening to both my body and her is the key to the KNOWING of what I can and cannot do at any given time.
